Supporting Newcomers, Refugees, and Displaced Individuals with Dignity and Purpose
Canada remains one of the most welcoming countries in the world, with over 483,000 newcomers arriving in 2024 alone. As immigration continues to shape the fabric of Canadian society—with immigrants now making up nearly one-quarter of the population—the need for meaningful, structured support is more vital than ever. The journey to a new life does not begin or end with crossing a border. It starts with preparation, informed decisions, and having the right support at every step. Statistics show that nearly 90% of individuals from refugee backgrounds engage with settlement services early on—a clear indication of how essential these services are for long-term success. Newcomers also bring enormous value to the Canadian economy. Between 2001 and 2021, immigrants contributed to over 40% of growth in Canada’s professional and technical workforce. But talent alone is not enough—opportunity must be accessible, and systems must be navigable. Maple Bridge Canada exists to bridge that gap.
The significant escalation of the Russian war against Ukraine since February 2022 has led to unprecedented civilian casualties and the destruction of critical infrastructure, forcing millions to flee their homes in search of safety, protection, and assistance. In addition to those displaced within Ukraine, millions of refugees have crossed into neighboring countries and are in urgent need of protection and support.
